Museum of agricultural technology - Impression #1

Museum of agricultural technology

Kobenz

The focus here is on tractors, engines and drives, which began to replace the muscle power of man and horse in the work done in agriculture and forestry in Austria around 1900.

On an area of 600 m² on two floors, there are currently 20 tractors, 27 stationary engines, a steam locomobile, a horse-drawn carriage, a horse mower, a threshing machine, a forage harvester, a chopper and a tedder. The exhibition is supplemented by numerous small devices, models, picture documents and showcases, which illustrate the development of agricultural technology over the last 100 years.

A very large part of the current collection is the "Guggemos" collection. Anton Guggemos has been enthusiastically collecting and restoring old tractors and machinery since the 1980s. Thanks to his commitment, all exhibits are not only beautiful to look at but also fully functional and can be admired in action at historical rides and various events in the region. Active support comes from the club members.
